J. Chein & Company was an American toy maker known for its mechanical toys made from stamped and lithographed tin produced from the 1930s through the 1950s. Noisemakers, horse-drawn carriages, coin banks, Hercules toy truck and other cars and boats come to mind. These est. 1930's drummer boys caught our eye. 8 1/2" tall and in good condition commensurate with their age! They have light blue/gray lithographed pants, a bright red coat and a black shako, and one of the wind up functions is still operating.
